HISTORY

About the Rollei 35

Designed by Heinz Waaske and introduced in 1966, the Rollei 35 was the smallest full-frame 35mm camera in the world at the time of its release. Despite its tiny dimensions, it packed a Tessar 40mm f/3.5 lens and a high-quality Gossen light meter into a solid metal body. The camera became an icon of German engineering miniaturization and remains highly collectible.

RetroCam recreates this look using real optical data: color temperature curves, aberration profiles, grain structure, and tonal response. The result is a live camera effect that feels authentic, not just a filter slapped on top.
