Privacy Policy

1. Photos and videos

All capture and processing happens entirely on your device using Apple’s built-in frameworks (AVFoundation and Core Image). No photo or video ever leaves your phone unless you explicitly save or share it. We have no servers that receive, store or process your images.

2. Permissions

• Camera: required to show the live viewfinder and capture photos and videos.
• Microphone: used only while recording video so the clip includes audio. Not accessed at any other time.
• Photo library: used to save your shots to your Camera Roll.
• Location (optional): if you grant access, your GPS coordinates are embedded in the EXIF metadata of each photo — the same way the built-in Camera app works. This data stays in the photo file on your device; it is never sent to us. You can deny or revoke this permission at any time.

All permissions can be changed at any time in iOS Settings → RetroCam.

3. Information we collect

None. RetroCam does not require an account, does not ask for your name or email, and does not collect any personal information.

The app contains no advertising SDKs, no analytics SDKs, no crash-reporting SDKs, and no third-party code of any kind. It is built entirely with Apple’s native frameworks and has zero external dependencies.

4. Data stored on your device

RetroCam saves a small amount of preference data locally using iOS UserDefaults:

• Your selected camera profile
• Your list of favorite devices
• Your category selection
• Any custom Pro Mode presets you create

This data never leaves your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app.

5. Network access

RetroCam makes zero network requests. The app does not connect to the internet for any purpose — no telemetry, no remote configuration, no update checks, no cloud sync. It works fully offline.

6. Apple and the App Store

Apple handles app downloads and any payments under its own privacy policy. We do not receive your payment details. If you have turned on “Share With App Developers” in iOS Settings, Apple may share anonymous, aggregated usage statistics with us. We do not receive crash logs or any data that identifies you.

7. Support emails

If you contact us at support@quantizebg.com, we use your email address and message only to reply. We keep support correspondence for up to 12 months and then delete it.

8. Children

RetroCam is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the app collects no data at all, there is nothing to collect from anyone.

9. Your rights

Under the GDPR, CCPA and similar laws you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you. Because we hold none (apart from support emails if you contacted us), a deletion request is straightforward. Email us at the address below.

10. Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
