HISTORY

About the Olympus Pen F

Introduced in 1963, the Olympus Pen F was the only half-frame 35mm SLR ever produced. By shooting half-size frames on standard 35mm film, it doubled the number of exposures per roll to 72. Its rotary titanium shutter, compact body, and excellent Zuiko 38mm f/1.8 lens made it a technological marvel. The half-frame format encouraged experimentation and created natural diptychs when prints were viewed in pairs.

RetroCam recreates this look using real optical data: color temperature curves, aberration profiles, grain structure, and tonal response. The result is a live camera effect that feels authentic, not just a filter slapped on top.
