Released in 1983, the Nikon FE2 was Nikon's advanced enthusiast SLR, combining electronic automation with a fast 1/4000-second titanium shutter. Its aperture-priority auto exposure and match-needle manual metering made it versatile and intuitive, while full compatibility with the Nikkor lens system gave photographers access to some of the finest optics available. The FE2 earned a devoted following for its perfect balance of features and simplicity.
RetroCam recreates this look using real optical data: color temperature curves, aberration profiles, grain structure, and tonal response. The result is a live camera effect that feels authentic, not just a filter slapped on top.
Each effect is calibrated to match the real optical and chemical characteristics of the Nikon FE2.
