Kiev 88Soviet Hasselblad, Volna-3 80mm f/2.8

Produced at the Arsenal factory in Kiev, Ukraine from 1980 onward, the Kiev 88 was a Soviet medium-format SLR heavily based on the Hasselblad 1600F design. Despite quality-control issues, the Kiev 88 with its Volna-3 80mm f/2.8 lens could produce beautiful 6×6cm images at a fraction of the Hasselblad's price. The camera became popular with budget-conscious photographers and remains a gateway to medium-format photography on the used market.

RetroCam recreates this look using real optical data: color temperature curves, aberration profiles, grain structure, and tonal response. The result is a live camera effect that feels authentic, not just a filter slapped on top.
