HISTORY

About the Nikon F3

Introduced in 1980, the Nikon F3 was Nikon's flagship professional SLR for an extraordinary 21-year production run. Designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro of Italdesign, it combined rugged titanium construction with sophisticated electronics and the superb Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 lens. Shot with Kodachrome, the F3 became the definitive tool for photojournalists and National Geographic photographers throughout the 1980s.

RetroCam recreates this look using real optical data: color temperature curves, aberration profiles, grain structure, and tonal response. The result is a live camera effect that feels authentic, not just a filter slapped on top.
