HISTORY

About the Canon F-1

Launched in 1971, the Canon F-1 was Canon's first professional-grade 35mm SLR, designed as a complete system to rival the Nikon F. Its rugged titanium shutter, interchangeable viewfinders, and extensive FD lens lineup made it the choice of photojournalists and sports photographers. The F-1 served as Canon's flagship for over a decade and proved that Canon could compete at the highest level of professional photography.

RetroCam recreates this look using real optical data: color temperature curves, aberration profiles, grain structure, and tonal response. The result is a live camera effect that feels authentic, not just a filter slapped on top.
