Produced from 1970 to 1986, the Yashica Mat-124G was the last of Yashica's twin-lens reflex cameras and one of the most affordable ways to shoot 6×6 medium format. Its Yashinon 80mm f/3.5 lens punched well above its price class, and the built-in light meter made it accessible to beginners. The 124G remains hugely popular on the used market as an entry point into medium-format photography.
RetroCam recreates this look using real optical data: color temperature curves, aberration profiles, grain structure, and tonal response. The result is a live camera effect that feels authentic, not just a filter slapped on top.
Each effect is calibrated to match the real optical and chemical characteristics of the Yashica Mat-124G.
