HISTORY

About the Rolleiflex 2.8F

Produced from 1960 to 1981, the Rolleiflex 2.8F represented the pinnacle of twin-lens reflex design. Its Zeiss Planar 80mm f/2.8 taking lens delivered extraordinary sharpness and contrast, while the waist-level finder offered a meditative shooting experience. Photographers like Irving Penn, Richard Avedon, and Vivian Maier used Rolleiflex cameras to create some of the most celebrated images in the history of photography.

RetroCam recreates this look using real optical data: color temperature curves, aberration profiles, grain structure, and tonal response. The result is a live camera effect that feels authentic, not just a filter slapped on top.
