HISTORY

About the Polaroid OneStep

Released in 1977 for under $40, the Polaroid OneStep was a fixed-focus instant camera that made Polaroid photography accessible to everyone. Its rainbow stripe design became an icon of 1970s pop culture, and the camera sold millions of units. The OneStep used SX-70 film and delivered the magic of watching a photograph develop before your eyes — an experience that continues to captivate photographers today.

RetroCam recreates this look using real optical data: color temperature curves, aberration profiles, grain structure, and tonal response. The result is a live camera effect that feels authentic, not just a filter slapped on top.
