The Nikon L35AF, released in 1983, was one of the first autofocus point-and-shoot cameras and established the template for the compact camera boom that followed. Its sharp Nikon 35mm f/2.8 lens — far superior to most point-and-shoot optics — delivered excellent results with minimal effort. The L35AF proved that Nikon's optical expertise could work in a pocketable form factor and helped launch the autofocus revolution.
RetroCam recreates this look using real optical data: color temperature curves, aberration profiles, grain structure, and tonal response. The result is a live camera effect that feels authentic, not just a filter slapped on top.
Each effect is calibrated to match the real optical and chemical characteristics of the Nikon L35AF.
