Introduced in 1982, the Bronica SQ-A was a modular 6×6 medium-format SLR system that offered Hasselblad-like versatility at a more accessible price. Its electronically controlled leaf shutter, interchangeable backs and finders, and excellent Zenzanon-S lenses made it popular with portrait and commercial photographers. The SQ-A's 80mm f/2.8 standard lens delivered sharp, contrasty results that rivaled cameras costing twice as much.
RetroCam recreates this look using real optical data: color temperature curves, aberration profiles, grain structure, and tonal response. The result is a live camera effect that feels authentic, not just a filter slapped on top.
Each effect is calibrated to match the real optical and chemical characteristics of the Bronica SQ-A.
