Night Vision (PVS-7)Gen 2 Image Intensifier, Green Phosphor

The AN/PVS-7 night vision goggles, adopted by the U.S. military in 1985, use Generation II image intensifier tubes to amplify ambient light by thousands of times, producing the characteristic green phosphor image associated with military night operations. The distinctive green monochrome appearance, visible noise patterns, and halo effects around bright sources have become iconic through news footage and movies.

RetroCam recreates this look using real optical data: color temperature curves, aberration profiles, grain structure, and tonal response. The result is a live camera effect that feels authentic, not just a filter slapped on top.
