HISTORY

About the Kodak T-Max 100

Introduced in 1986, Kodak T-Max 100 was a revolutionary black-and-white film that used tabular grain (T-Grain) technology to achieve extraordinarily fine grain at ISO 100. This produced smoother tones and finer detail than traditional cubic-grain films, making T-Max 100 the choice for photographers who demanded maximum sharpness and tonal range. The film excels in landscape, architecture, and studio work where detail and gradation are paramount.

RetroCam recreates this look using real optical data: color temperature curves, aberration profiles, grain structure, and tonal response. The result is a live camera effect that feels authentic, not just a filter slapped on top.
