HISTORY

About the Nikon FM10

The Nikon FM10, introduced in 1995, was a basic mechanical SLR manufactured by Cosina and sold under the Nikon brand primarily as a student camera. Its fully manual operation, Nikkor 35-70mm f/3.5-4.8 kit lens, and Nikon F-mount compatibility made it an affordable entry into the Nikon system. Though simple, the FM10 served as a learning tool for countless photography students through the late 1990s and 2000s.

RetroCam recreates this look using real optical data: color temperature curves, aberration profiles, grain structure, and tonal response. The result is a live camera effect that feels authentic, not just a filter slapped on top.
