HISTORY

About the Leica MP

Introduced in 2003, the Leica MP is the ultimate expression of Leica's mechanical rangefinder philosophy — a fully manual camera with brass construction, mechanical shutter, and no automatic features whatsoever. Paired with the Summicron 50mm f/2, it represents the purest form of the Leica shooting experience. The MP is designed to last generations and is still manufactured today as Leica's flagship mechanical camera.

RetroCam recreates this look using real optical data: color temperature curves, aberration profiles, grain structure, and tonal response. The result is a live camera effect that feels authentic, not just a filter slapped on top.
