Kodak PixPro FZ5516MP CCD, Y2K Digicam Aesthetic

The Kodak PixPro FZ55, released in 2022, is a 16-megapixel point-and-shoot that uses a CCD sensor — deliberately retro technology in an era of CMOS dominance. Its slightly soft, warm images with visible noise and CCD bloom evoke the Y2K digicam aesthetic that has become hugely popular on social media. The FZ55 proves that sometimes 'worse' technology creates a more emotionally appealing image.

RetroCam recreates this look using real optical data: color temperature curves, aberration profiles, grain structure, and tonal response. The result is a live camera effect that feels authentic, not just a filter slapped on top.
