HISTORY

About the Fuji Velvia 50

Introduced in 1991, Fuji Velvia 50 (RVP 50) was a color reversal film that became legendary for its ultra-vivid, hyper-saturated colors and extraordinary fine grain. Landscape photographers worldwide adopted it as their standard film, and its rendering of greens, blues, and warm tones became the benchmark for nature photography. Velvia's influence was so profound that Fujifilm later created a 'Velvia' film simulation in their digital cameras.

RetroCam recreates this look using real optical data: color temperature curves, aberration profiles, grain structure, and tonal response. The result is a live camera effect that feels authentic, not just a filter slapped on top.
