DashcamDashboard Camera, Wide-Angle

Dashboard cameras became widely adopted in the early 2010s, particularly in Russia where they served as evidence in insurance disputes. Their continuous wide-angle recording, GPS data overlay, and date/time stamps created a distinctive surveillance aesthetic. Dashcam footage — often dramatic and unexpected — became a viral internet genre, and the cameras' low-resolution, high-contrast look is now instantly recognizable.

RetroCam recreates this look using real optical data: color temperature curves, aberration profiles, grain structure, and tonal response. The result is a live camera effect that feels authentic, not just a filter slapped on top.
