Sony F65S35 8K Cinema, Rotary Shutter

The Sony F65, introduced in 2012, was an 8K digital cinema camera designed for the most demanding productions. Its single Super 35mm CMOS sensor captured 20-megapixel frames at up to 120fps, and its rotary shutter mechanism delivered a unique motion cadence. The F65 was used for prestigious productions where maximum resolution and image quality were paramount, pushing the boundaries of what digital cinema could achieve.

RetroCam recreates this look using real optical data: color temperature curves, aberration profiles, grain structure, and tonal response. The result is a live camera effect that feels authentic, not just a filter slapped on top.
