CineStill 400D35mm, Daylight Cinema Stock

CineStill 400D, released in 2022, is a daylight-balanced version of Kodak Vision3 motion picture stock, giving still photographers access to the same emulsion used in major Hollywood productions. Like its tungsten sibling 800T, the removed remjet layer creates characteristic halation around bright areas. 400D's balanced color temperature makes it versatile for outdoor shooting, delivering a cinematic look that sets it apart from traditional still photography films.

RetroCam recreates this look using real optical data: color temperature curves, aberration profiles, grain structure, and tonal response. The result is a live camera effect that feels authentic, not just a filter slapped on top.
