About the Speed Graphic

The Speed Graphic was the quintessential American press camera from the 1930s through the 1960s. Its combination of focal-plane shutter, front shutter, rangefinder, and 4×5 sheet film made it extraordinarily versatile. The image of a photographer with a Speed Graphic and a flashbulb became an icon of mid-century journalism — Weegee, the famous crime photographer, used one to document New York City's nightlife and crime scenes.

RetroCam recreates this look using real optical data: color temperature curves, aberration profiles, grain structure, and tonal response. The result is a live camera effect that feels authentic, not just a filter slapped on top.
