HTC One M74MP UltraPixel, f/2.0 28mm

The HTC One M7, released in 2013, took a radical approach to smartphone photography with its 4-megapixel 'UltraPixel' sensor — using fewer but larger pixels to capture more light. The camera excelled in low-light conditions, producing images with less noise than higher-megapixel competitors. While controversial, the UltraPixel concept was ahead of its time, foreshadowing the industry's later shift toward larger pixel sizes over raw megapixel counts.

RetroCam recreates this look using real optical data: color temperature curves, aberration profiles, grain structure, and tonal response. The result is a live camera effect that feels authentic, not just a filter slapped on top.
